5 + Fine "Feathered" Flamingos

This is a picture I took a few years ago.  I know there are more than 5 birds in this photo.

I LOVE it (not that it is blurry but), that the the pink brick home's owners plunked a flock of pink plastic flamingos all over their lawn.  The artistic expression in pink stopped me, I grabbed my camera and snapped.  The funny thing is,  I occasionally drove passed  to find again and again, the flock would be changed to other locations in the grass:  Far corner,  side,  center,  always lovingly flocking together in pink plastic poses.    I have credited the home owners for making an art sculpture or possibly they were unwitting receivers of a "natural sculpture" created by migrating birds.

Merry bird watching,

Mary Lou

  1. haahaahaa, this is entirely too funny. I've seen real flamingos and the zoo and they look like fake ones. Now, especially with them getting moved around, would give more of the allusion of the real thing...instead of plastic yard art!

    1. Hi SS. I missed doing a reply for a few days. Glad you like the neighborhood flock of flamingos. I'll keep looking for other items to share. Thanks for commenting.

  2. My sister lives in snow country and likes to set flamingos in her winter landscape. I'm sorry I wasn't over sooner. I think I was looking for candy and not dandy. So glad you came to visit so I could follow you home.
