Paris Dreaming

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/41/Paris,France.jpg

Here it is, the GRAND symbol of Paris, France, which make me remember my thrill as seeing it for first time.

It was many years ago, we were living in The Netherlands, on a 3 month assignment with my husband's work.  We took a 3 day week end to Paris.  At the time our youngest was 4 months...so I have pics of him in a mini stroller and some memories of balancing baby and tourism.  We ate dinner with an associate, American, with his wife and child.  I stepped into the isle and I bend down to pic up said baby, just as a waiter came rushing past, I stood up and fish of the day went flying...ooohhh.  But our hotel was lovely, not like the unlovely one on our second trip.
I am so happy we went (but poor diner had to wait for chef to make another fish dinner.)

The next time we went to Paris, we took that same young child, 12 years older, and the 2 older siblings that stayed at a neighbor's home in The Netherlands during our first trip.  The second trip was so very, very different from the first.  We had a good time and both times we enjoyed the Eiffel Tower and other sights.   Our children loved to eat at the bistro adjacent to our hotel and none of us were the cause of flying fish.

Merci, Anita, for the Paris Party...I had a grand time thinking of Paris.  Merry Paris,  Mary

  4. The closest I have been to Paris is the Paris in Las Vegas.

Visiting the actual city of Paris is towards the top of my bucket list, though.
