WHAA aaah HOO!

Here they are!  My students, so happy.   Why?  The are free from school!

See these faces, I feel the same way.

Summer has started!!!

What was you favorite experience for first day of summer vacation?

Favorites things of the long summer days?

As a middle school child, on vacation, did you sleep, read, swim, work, camp...?

Did you have favorite school teachers?  Mates?  Pathways to or from school?

I had a few teachers that scared me, and one's I loved.  You, too?

Merry summer share,

Mary

    1. she may be Maine Coon, she is a foundling, declawd, sweet and friendly. We are happy our neighbor ask if we wanted her...she had been out in winter months from September to January. Thanks so much for joining.. yeah, a new friend.

  2. Enjoy your holidays Mary! We played to our hearts' content in a small park near our home. I'm an oldie, so we didn't have TV back then but, boy, our imagination sure took us to some exciting places :D)

    1. We didn't have TV until I was about 10...but we still played out-of-doors, in the heat. TV was not all so interesting. I loved the imagined play, too. It's nice to hear from you. Mary

  5. Happy summer days and a break from kids. We are in the middle of winter at the moment. We find it cold but it isn't cold compared to your winters. It is our coldest day today so far this winter and it is 60*F. In summer holidays I enjoyed going to the beach with my friends or going camping with my parents.

  6. oh those long hot days of summer. I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere, so I didn't have neighborhood kid to hang out with and do the usual things. I had to occupy myself with my imagination and the woods and pastures of the farm, which wasn't so bad really. I guess it made me who I am today, comfortable with my own company. Occasionally classmates from town would ride their bikes out to visit me, and that was always fun, we'd head to the creek for the afternoon. Summer days are special, no matter our age. thanks for the memories! Happy summer vacation to you, I hope you have the time of your life.
