Plein Air Poplar

This photo was taken on the day I set out to paint,  plein air....which is an artsy term for
painting out-of-doors.
My problem, I am not that good at painting.
I took a picture to take my subject home with me for latter working.

Location:  a farm in Cache Valley, Utah, and it definitely fits "rural."
It is a beautiful setting.

Standing there is my friend, also a would be artist.
I did not intend to capture her in the picture, or perhaps I would of had her facing front and waving from that distance.
She does a good job of providing scale as to the size of the tree.
Merry artistic endeavors,  Mary

  11. The important thing is that you're out there painting at all, whether or not you think you're good at it or not! Sooo... can we see the painting?
