Horse 'Neigh' bors

These are some of my horse 'neigh' bors....get that, neigh...the sound a horse makes. Hahhahaaahahaaaa.
The area I live in was very rural when I was growing up....now it only has a few patches of rural.  These horses live in a large area...and there owners live in a house down a lane, off road.
You may notice houses in the background.
These horses were cute...they though the reason I stopped was to give them some hay.
They came walking to me...so I said Hi and took more photos.
The brown one put his nose out close to sniff me...I touched his very soft nose.
The funny thing I realized, as I was taking some photo's, the people that probably own these horses are of the same name as that old mill village I wrote about last Friday.
Small world, this old rural setting.

Just about dinner time...hay...are your here to feed me?

Come here, brother, I think she is here to feed us.

Where are you going?  We are hungry, you know.

Isn't this the place you feed us?  Aren't we in the right place?

Right there...see!  By my feet!

There, use that fork...we are so hungry.  We haven't eaten since....um...whenever...I know it's time!

Merry horse neighbors, Mary

  12. Sigh...they are adorable. Oh my, those colors. What an inspiring view. Precious, precious, precious.

Mary, I stopped by to take your pretty new page button with me for my STORYTELLERS collection. :) I had not seen your email because it went to my RSS feed email vs the one I use regularly for blogging. LOVE the button, and since it's making its debut, I will actually display it on my sidebar this weekend as the featured storyteller.

    XOXO's,
    Marcia

  14. Lovely horses - their noses are so soft!! We have an Appaloosa and he's a hoot. It is nice to live in an area with access to these majestic beauties.

  16. As others have said, those horses are beautiful. In this case, I will be a "neigh"-sayer.

That pair obviously gets a lot of care and attention. Lucky critters.

  20. Oh - how beautiful!

I have always (as every little girl did!) wanted a horse of my own to love. Unfortunately, I live in a suburb area, with only a quite small yard so I suppose my dogs will have to do. I do try and ride my kelpie around sometimes, although he won't have a bar of it! Haha
