S.for Simply Fun

My post today is the simple part of e.a.s.y.
Here goes...

I had a dinner meeting Monday night...a debriefing on our class reunion.
The committee met at one members house.
(yummy....grilled burgers, corn on the cob, lemon pasta, green salad)
I think the best part of being on the committee was:
Our committee worked together, and we had fun.  Simply fun!
We are going to take our grand knowledge of this past reunion and apply that for the next!
If you are thinking of going to a reunion...and you are wondering:  'Will I like it?'...I think you will.
Go!  Enjoy!
You will have the opportunity to talk people from past years, and you'll realize they are just like you.  Working, living and making a difference in life.

As said in the movie L. A. Story..'let your mind go and your body will follow.'   hahahhahahhaaaaa
That is good advice sometimes.

Have you ever been nervous about meeting old friends?
Have you been happy to go to a class reunion?
Did you go and find that the class clown was.....still a clown?

Merry reunions,    Mary

  4. Reunions are not very common in Greece. I'm happy to hear you had fun!

  6. Glad you enjoyed your reunion! I went to my tenth, haven't been back since. Living away from the town where I went to school, I never see any of my classmates. I found that we all had changed and just didn't have much in common any more. I have a friend who helps to plan hers and loves them just like you. So, I guess I am the oddball! ha!ha!

  9. Only "did" 2 HS Reunions. One when I was still thin, even after kids. One when it was our 50th, and it was kind of fun. But I never intend to do another.

I helped put our 50th Reunion together, with classmates. When they wanted to keep doing it, I told them to count me out. I was 'done' with Class Reunions.

    Since you asked...

    Gentle hugs,
    "Auntie"

  10. Glad your reunion was fun! I went to my tenth and people got so crazy drunk and out of control that the location said we could never return. I was hoping for a little more change. We are approaching twenty, and there is discussion of trying again. Maybe it will be better this time :)

  13. I went to my 30th reunion this past year, which was the first one I attended. WHEW, no need to be nervous 'cause mostly everyone looked like they were attending the 50th year reunion. WOW,let's just say potatoes are a priority there instead of exercise.

  14. I've been to one reunion and learned SO much about others. So many of my preconceptions were wrong! (That's a word, right?)

  15. Maybe not what you want to hear about HS reunions - I attended my 10th and vowed the past should remain in the past, especially if you never kept touch with any of these people and you have moved on from an otherwise lackluster HS experience.
But I'm happy for you that you can enjoy your reunion. Sounds like you and your committee are doing a great job! xo

  18. I went to my 10th many moons ago and there was actually a guy there I didn't know, had changed so much. A few years ago I helped with my 50th (exposing my age here) and it was fun when I realized I wasn't the only one fat and wrinkled.

  20. I hope the reunion goes well! Sounds like a good group. I have no desire to return to my high school days. I've got enough on my hands just trying to avoid some of them on Facebook. Yikes!

  21. Hope you have fun at your reunion. My class has never even had a reunion, but I wouldn't have gone. High school was not a happy time for me. I was the one everyone picked on.

  22. I have not attended one...but keep in touch with a lot of my class. It is good that you all worked well together and had fun. Some committee meetings do not go as well. I look forward to hearing how your reunion goes.

  24. I much prefer all school reunions. Maybe it's because I came from a small school. Hope you have a great time at yours!

  25. I did an easy post today but not sure it qualifies for your party! I'll remember for next week though. I went to some of my class reunions and had a ball! I loved going and seeing my old friends and talking to everyone! I hope I get to go to the next one! It's FUN!
