Fair Visit

This is a picture taken at the Utah State Fair.  And this is a pack goat...did you know there were pack goats?  I did not.  He has a load to carry...whooooo.

Next pic is a lovely cow,  resting.
When I was about 5 our family had a cow like her.

Next is the group of lovely white sheep.  Have you ever seen sheep so white?

  And last ...

...a kissing sheep.

Hahahhahaaaheeeeheheeee.

Do you go to fairs?
Do you like cows, goats or sheep?
Have you ever kissed a sheep?

Merry fare fairs,  Mary

  13. I LOVE A STATE FAIR, MARY!!!!

Ours is great: THE MINNESOTA STATE FAIR. I won a blue ribbon for milking a goat!

I LOVE GOATS, SHEEP AND COWS but my all-time favorites are the horses....OMGOODNESS how I love to pet their velvety noses. AND in California, they have GOATS FOR HIRE to go out and EAT the weeds on the hillsides! YES! IT IS TRUE! teeehee....LOVE that pack goat. They are quite darling.

Have a fabulous day at school! Anita

  20. Mary,
Yes, I love animals, they are so precious. And I love fairs, especially the local town fairs. I used to go to the county fair every year when I was growing up. There is so many interesting things to see. Your pictures are wonderful, and I love the sweet sheep.

  23. oh i was intending to say that that pack-goat resembles the singing goat in "Hoodwinked" - ' I was pre-pared!! '".

  25. The Georgia National Fair is held in or area every Oct.We always enjoy seeing the animals there...horses, cows, goats, sheep, hogs, rabbits. Our son lives in the country and he has chickens, two goats, and a pygmy pig. So, we can see those anytime we want. I will pass on the kisses, I think!!

  26. I can honestly say I have never kissed a sheep!!! I love the cow and at first I thought the pack goat was a donkey statue. LOL Fairs are fun...I love to see the chickens and rabbits too, :)

  27. Hi Mary, no, I'd never seen a pack goat... he looks quite at home with it all too. Can imagine his cousins in remote mountain villages would have clued him in on such duties :D)
Beaut photos of the Fair. We have the Royal Agricultural Show in Melbourne every year which would be similar. Really good to visit and see all the animals.
    Your photos are great too.
Cheers for now and nice to catch up with you again. Sometimes, I'm a silent visitor - our internet connection (via satellite) does not always co-operate... just now the stars seem to be aligned ;D) so, hopefully, you'll get this comment :D)

  28. I grew up in the city, not much in the way of livestock there. Saw plenty of sheep in Ireland but didn't kiss any of them.
Now I reside in a more rural area and see a lot of corn and cows. My neighbor has a tiny goat, distructive little buggers.

  29. Love fairs- but I am pretty sure I have never seen a pack goat or a kissing sheep before! :)

  30. I haven't been to a fair since I was ten years old on a field trip. As a grown up, I'm not opposed to them, just crowds and fighting for parking. The kissing sheep looks pretty charming, though!

  31. Haha, you are too cute. I like anything that has animals in it, but maybe not the smell. The gray color of that cow is so unusual. Great pics!

  38. Oh yes I love animals but I never kissed a sheep :-)
I´m always a bit sorry for the animals there so I like the last photo best!

  39. Yes, to all your questions. I am from the land of the stubborn old Missouri mules so I admit to not considering that any other animal could do their packing chores. But, why not a goat. And, give milk besides.

  40. Great pictures. I keep thinking I should train my wether to be a pack goat.
