Can You Bear It?

#1       I this has been a great week for school...acutally I only had 4 days with students and they were great days.  My only objections with school this week were complications of school, not classroom and students.

#2  Wednesday's post had some comments that lead me to posting Mr. Bear again...
I think these are in order of occurrence.  What a grand animal and what a good idea to be at a distance. These were taken in Alaska, from the window of the tour bus, in Denali.   He was close, but no one left the bus!  Yikes!

Hummmmmm...now, I think I saw some dinner here about, somewhere.

Oh,  I think it's coming from over there...

Sorry, folks, I'm feeling a little fuzzy, must be the need for a fish dinner.

Oh, I know that's it.....I'll keep following my nose this way...yummm...coming for dinner!

Can you bear one more bear comment?             Have your ever been hungry as a bear?

#3   I wore my new purple sandles this week...one day.  They are a deep, jewel town purple...in a near depth of burgundy, but purple.  Anyone who knows me knows that is so not usual for me...hahhahaaa.
What color are your favorite shoes?   (Mine are always black!)

#4   My cutie friend J is off on an adventure, I saw her last Friday for a good long visit.  Now I wish her much success.  (I'll keep in touch via blog for a while.)

#5   Season is changing but so far, nicely warm ....perfect in fact....70's!  My favorite temperature.

What's your favorite temp?   Where do you go/what do you do in that temp?   Who is your favorite person to spend time with, in your favorite temperature?

Merry season,  Mary

  1. I'm a huge fan of the cold, but unfortunately I live in the tropics so it never gets cold enough here for my tastes.

  2. Mary,

Os ursos são lindos e mesmo com esse tamanho todo não dá pra ter medo.
Deve ser emocionante fotografar um animal desse porte.

  11. MARY! I saw on the news yesterday that up in Washington state, a fourth grade class got a real good look at a black bear and her cubs JUST OUTSIDE THEIR WINDOW, as the family was running to a nearby creek for LUNCH of salmon! The school was under lockdown for a bit! Anita

  15. Sweet series of the bear. He looks harmless and cuddly, but I know that would be a dangerous assumption on my part. I love the 70s temps as well! My idea of the perfect weather. :)

  26. Sweet Mary!

WOW, these bears...scary stuff! YES, that would have been quite an unusual lock down for a school, because of bears! There was the mum, and three cubs. CUTE but FRIGHTENING!

Talk about fish, I am thinking of salmon and white bean stew for tonight; it is chilly here, with a real fall feel now that our leaves are on the ground, sparkling in the glorious colors of autumn...have FUN! Anita
