Making More of Monday

This is someplace along 17 Mile drive near Monterey, CA.

So this morning I found a beautiful place to post.  Dd took this a few years ago...what a great way to start the day...thinking about family travel here.
I'm loving the color,
the sunlight
and the thought of the ocean life.

We played on the sand and spent several hours...a little crab ran along the sand, adding some thrills for the children....about ages 7 and 9 years.  Haahahaaa..a.

What are some favorite memories of beaches, sea life and family trips?
How do you help the "Monday's"?

Merry Monday, Mary

  2. My favorite beach memory from childhood is walking the sands of Lover's Key in FLA with my parents shelling before Sunrise. Then when we hit the end of the beach the Sun would warm our backs. Plus Lover's Key is where my husband proposed!

  3. WOW, very pretty. So interesting too because the west coast beaches look completely different from the east coast beaches where I live in NC. It is completely flat here with no rocks in sight.

  4. What a beautiful photo! The contrasting colors of the water make it so interesting. Monday is hard. I usually have two cups of joe!

  6. What a gorgeous image! I don't mind Mondays, for me, they are just like any other day! I live 10 minutes from the beach/ocean. We are always making memories there. I love searching for sea glass!

  7. Love the color of the water - beautiful!!
    I actually like Mondays.
We used to go the Jersey shore for two weeks every year when I was a kid. I like to walk the beach but I'm not a sitting on the beach in the sun person. I like the mountains. : )

  8. Wow...beautiful...I can feel the warm sand between my toes right now :) Can I call you a lucky duck. My favorite beach memory is when my youngest grand son saw the big Sandy beach on Lake Michigan... he jumped out of the car and threw himself on the sand and hugged it laughing a giggling. He had only been in a sand box. He was four years old.

  16. DH and I spent 3 nights in Monterey last year during our US roadtrip...lovely area. We found CA beaches quite similar to our beaches here in eastern Australia :-)
